NMRV-VS
Technical Specifications
The NMRV-VS series builds upon the standard NMRV reducer by adding a double input shaft configuration. This design greatly enhances the flexibility of drive solutions, allowing power input from both sides. It can be used to connect a backup motor, manual device, or other transmission mechanisms to meet more diverse and demanding industrial application needs.
Based on flange input, input speed 1400 r/min (with 4-pole motor). The following values are for reference selection.

Installation & Maintenance
Key points to ensure reliable operation and service life.
Installation Points
- The reducer must be installed on a flat, solid base with tight, anti-vibration anchor bolts.
- Shafts of the prime mover, reducer, and working machine must be accurately aligned after installation.
- When mounting sprockets or gears, position them as close to the bearings as possible to reduce bending stress.
- If the motor is oversized, a support structure should be provided.
Usage Notes
- Before use, check all specifications. The worm input speed should not exceed 1500 r/min.
- Apply load gradually upon startup; do not start at full load.
- The maximum allowable oil temperature is 95°C. Stop and inspect if this is exceeded.
- If the reducer has been stored for more than 4–6 months, it’s recommended to replace the oil seals.
Lubrication & Maintenance
- Models 25–90: Shipped with ISO VG320 synthetic oil, no need to add. Change oil after the first 5000 hours, then every 6000 hours.
- Models 110–150: Shipped with ISO VG460 mineral oil. Change oil after the first 400 hours, then every 4000 hours.
Model Explanation
Quick guide to understanding the NMRV-VS designation.
To better understand our product models, here is a brief explanation of the NMRV-VS designation:
NMRV Represents a worm gear reducer fitted for motor coupling (flange input).
-VS Stands for “Double Input Shaft.” This configuration features input shaft extensions on both ends of the worm shaft, allowing power input from either side or both simultaneously.
For example, the model NMRV063-VS refers to a worm gear reducer with a center distance of 63 mm, equipped with a double input shaft.
